Abstract
The cracking of the concrete protective layer caused by steel corrosion is a key factor affecting the dura-bility of reinforced concrete structures so that clarifying the process of rust expansion and cracking is of great signifi-cance for the durability assessment and maintenance repair of structures.In order to avoid interference from coarse aggregates on the strain field analysis of Digital Image Correlation(DIC),a mortar protective layer rust expansion cracking test analysis method was proposed by mortar samples for testing based on DIC technology.This method by designing a device for accelerating the corrosion of steel bars with external current applied to the veneer,combined with a common digital camera and the DIC open-source program Ncorr developed for secondary development,the full field displacement and strain evolution process of the mortar protective layer surface were obtained during the accumulation of corrosion products.The theoretical corrosion rate of steel bars at different corrosion stages was cal-culated(with an error of less than 6%compared with the actual corrosion rate),revealing the distribution law of rust expansion crack width and the expansion characteristics of the slow expansion stage and accelerated expansion stage.The experimental results show that the accuracy of measuring the width of steel bar rust expansion cracks by DIC technology is higher(error ≤3.50%),which verifies that this method can provide a convenient and low-cost solution for the durability evaluation of concrete structure rust expansion cracks.关键词
