Abstract

The hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)was pre-treated by interacting with epoxy resin(EP)to investigate the changes in its size,interlayer spacing,and surface functional groups.Thermoplastic epoxy resin was used as the matrix to prepare@h-BN/EP composites with the pre-treated h-BN(@h-BN),and the effects of@h-BN on the properties of the composites were explored.The results were compared with those of h-BN/EP composites prepared by direct mixing.The results show that the size of the pre-treated@h-BN decreased,the interlayer spacing increased,and the content of surface hydroxyl and amino groups increased.The flexural strength of the@h-BN/EP composites first increased and then decreased with the increase of@h-BN content,reaching the maximum value when the mass fraction of@h-BN was 3%,and all the results of the@h-BN/EP composites were better than those of the h-BN/EP composites.With the increase of@h-BN content,the thermal conductivity of the@h-BN/EP composites improved,the initial storage modulus increased,the glass transition temperature was in the range of 100.4~111.6℃,and the thermal stability was enhanced.The@h-BN/EP composites could be completely dissolved in the solvent and have recyclability.
