Influence of Survey Time on Bookkeeping Quality of Household Survey
摘要
Abstract
Keeping records of the income and expenditure information(that is,bookkeeping)by the sample households every day is the most primary way to collect information in household survey in China.As the duration of the survey increases,the sur-veyed households may experience so-called"bookkeeping fatigue"phenomena such as centralized bookkeeping,simplified book-keeping,and omitted entries,which in turn affects the quality of the survey data.Based on the household survey data of three rep-resentative provinces in China from 2018 to 2021,this paper constructs an accounting quality evaluation index system based on four types of indicators:the number of bookkeeping records,bookkeeping category,bookkeeping accuracy and bookkeeping fre-quency,then uses statistical analysis and two-way fixed effect model for regression analysis,and finally evaluates the impact of survey duration on bookkeeping quality.The results show that with the increase of the survey time,the bookkeeping quality of the surveyed households increases significantly in the first year,and then tends to level off.There is no systematic decline in the book-keeping quality.关键词
