Value of combined detection of systemic immunoinflammatory index and C-reactive protein/albumin ratio in the prognosis assessment of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia

Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of the combined detection of systemic immunoinflammatory index(SII)and C-reactive protein/albumin ratio(CRP/ALB)in the prognosis assessment of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods A total of 286 MPP children admitted to Baise People's Hospital from January 2022 to May 2024 were selected as research subjects,and they were divided into mild group(n=189)and severe group(n=97)according to their disease conditions.The laboratory indicators of the children were detected,and the relationship between SII,CRP/ALB and MPP was analyzed by logistic multivariate regression.The prognostic value of SII and CRP/ALB in MPP children was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Results The levels of neutrophil(NEU),C-reactive protein(CRP),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),CRP/ALB and SII in the severe group were higher than those in the mild group,and the platelet(PLT)and lymphocyte(LYC)were lower than those in the mild group(P<0.05).The levels of white blood cell,NEU,CRP,alanine aminotransferase,LDH,CRP/ALB and SII in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group,and the ALB,PLT,and LYC were lower than those in the good prognosis group(P<0.05).The logistic multivariate analysis showed that CRP/ALB(OR=1.664)and SII(OR=1.713)were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in MPP children(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the AUC of CRP/ALB,SII and combined detection to predict the prognosis of MPP children was 0.882,0.865 and 0.925,respectively,and the AUC of combined detection to predict the prognosis of MPP children was higher than that of CRP/ALB and SII alone(P<0.05).Conclusion CRP/ALB and SII are closely related to the condition of children with MPP and are risk factors for poor prognosis,and their combination can improve the value of prognosis assessment.关键词
