Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of 29 cases of alopecia universalis in children.Methods The clinical data of 29 children with alopecia universalis in the Department of Dermatology,Women&Children's Health Care Hospital of Linyi from December 2021 to February 2024 were collected for retrospective analysis.Results Among the 29 included children,15 were boys and 14 were girls.The median age of onset was 2 years old,the median disease duration was 2 years,and the longest disease duration was 15 years.Two cases(6.9%)had nail changes,manifested as punctate depressions and transverse grooves of the nail.Thirteen cases(44.8%)were accompanied by allergy-related diseases.Laboratory tests showed that 33.3%(9/27)of the children had elevated immunoglobulin E,26.1%(6/23)were allergic to dust mites,60.0%(6/10)had abnormal T lymphocyte subsets,and 40.0%(2/5)were deficient in 25-hydroxyvitamin D.Conclusion Alopecia universalis in children has a young age of onset,a long course of disease,and is prone to recurrence.Some children may present with nail changes.Autoimmunity,allergic diseases and related factors causing allergies cannot be ignored in children with alopecia universata.关键词
