摘要

Abstract

Sulfur mustard(SM)is a classic erosive chemical agent with real threat,which can penetrate the human body through multiple ways to cause poisoning.Lung is one of the main target organs of SM poisoning.Lung injury induced by SM includes pulmonary fibrosis,bronchitis,etc.,which is one of the main causes of death caused by SM.So far,the mechanism underlying SM poisoning is unclear,and there are no effective drugs for treatment.Oxidative stress plays a key role in SM-induced lung injury.This paper reviews the recent research progress on oxidative stress in lung injury caused by SM,and mainly introduces the role of oxidative stress in lung injury caused by SM from three aspects:inducing DNA damage,stimulating the synthesis of inflammatory factors and triggering cell apoptosis.The mechanism of SM-induced oxidative stress in lung is also discussed from the perspective of overproduction of reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species and inhibition of antioxidant system leading to the imbalance of redox homeostasis,aiming at providing reference for the research and development of antioxidants.
