Steady-state Analysis of a Finite-source Retrial Queue with Working Breakdowns and Customer Balking
摘要
Abstract
In this paper,we consider a finite-source capacity retrial queue model with working breakdowns and customer balking.During the regular busy period,the new arrival either begins its service if the main server is free,or goes to a finite-source orbit and repeats its demand after some time if the server is occupied.Once the main server suffers a breakdown and fails,a substitute server will replace it immediately and continues serving the currently waiting customers,but at a lower service rate.To avoid the system congestion,the new arrival customers and the repeats from the orbit will not be allowed to enter the system until the completion of repair process.For such a queueing model,using the matrix-geometric combination solution,we derive the explicit expressions of the joint stationary probability distribution.Various performance measures are obtained.At last,we present several numerical examples to illustrate the effects of the parameters on performance measures.关键词
