Research on the Influential Factors of Marine Industry Development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Abstract
The marine economy is a common attribute and a key variable in the competition for cities'development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.The paper analyzes the current situation and problems of the marine industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by modifying"diamond model",which added two major factors:the current development status of the marine industry and the level of marine science and technology,and two minor factors:marine policy and marine culture.The results indicate that Hong Kong,Guangzhou,and Shenzhen are found to have advantages in comprehensive strengths such as port shipping and marine tourism,and take the leading position in the marine scientific research domain;Jiangmen,Huizhou,and Zhuhai have advantages of long coastline,broad sea areas,and good resource endowments,that contribute significantly to the marine economy.Based on an analysis of the influencing factors of the marine industry in the Greater Bay Area,the article proposes policy recommendations,including optimizing the structure and layout of the industry,increasing investment in marine science and technology,enhancing technology and industrial integration capabilities,strengthening the coordination of coastal industrial functional zones,and increasing investment from government and guidance funds.关键词
