摘要

Abstract

The 6G satellite-terrestrial integrated networks will achieve a profound integration between terrestrial communication and satellite communication.The Time Division Duplex(TDD)mode,owing to its low spectrum demand,simple terminal design,and compatibility with the asymmetric traffic,is particularly well-suited for the applications of the Internet of Things(IoT)for non-terrestrial networks(NTNs).Currently,the work item of IoT-NTN TDD has been approved by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project,indicating a broad application prospect for this technology.Firstly,this paper provides an overview of the development trends and industrial applications of the IoT-NTN TDD technology.Meanwhile,the challenges posed by factors such as transmission delay and cross-link interference are provided.Then,this paper introduces the standardization progress and key technologies,including TDD frame structure design,selective activation scheme,downlink common resource allocation,and slot resource allocation.Finally,the outlook of standardization work for IoT-NTN TDD is presented.
