湖北省某县羊群弓形虫感染状况横断面研究
A Cross-sectional Study on Toxoplasmosis in Sheep in a County of Hubei Province

Abstract
In order to investigate the status and risk factors of Toxoplasma gondii(T.gondii)infection in sheep in a county of Hubei Province,4 309 sheep serum samples were collected using two-stage sampling strategy to detect antibodies against T.gondii by ELISA,and risk factors associated with such infection were analyzed through questionnaires.The results showed that the individual positive rate was 34.30%,the apparent and actual population prevalence rates were 83.87%(95%CI:76.34%-89.29%)and 87.73%(95%CI:81.92%-93.55%),respectively;the infection was caused by major risk factors including"frequency of pen cleaning"and"domestic/wild cats available in the environment of feeding/grazing".In conclusion,toxoplasmosis was widely prevalent in sheep in the county,indicating that farms should improve their level of feeding and management,increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of pens,avoid keeping domestic cats,and effectively control wild cats.关键词
