Effect of Ethoxyquinoline Addition Level in Feed on Its Residue in Loaches and Crucian Carp

Abstract
In order to study the effect of ethoxyquinoline(EQ)level in feed on the metabolism of EQ and EQ dimer(EQDM)in loaches and crucian carp,1 800 healthy loaches with uniform weight were targeted,and randomly allocated into 12 circulating aquaculture tanks(each of 300 L,150 loaches per tank),which were divided into 4 groups(3 replicates per group),and fed with 4 kinds of nitrogen-isotonic feed supplemented with EQ of 0,50,150 and 450 mg/kg,respectively;the same steps was applied to crucian carp.The feeding experiment lasted 12 weeks:during the initial 8 weeks,loaches and crucian carp were fed with four groups of feed,respectively,and fish samples were randomly collected at the 2nd,4th,6th and 8th weeks to determine residual levels of EQ and EQDM.In the following 4 weeks,all groups were switched to basal feed of the control group,residues were randomly detected at the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th weeks.The results showed that the residues of EQ and EQDM in loach tissues and crucian carp muscle were obviously affected(P＜0.05)by both EQ addition level and feeding duration.The residues increased with increasing EQ level and feeding time.After withdrawal of feed containing EQ,the metabolism of EQDM in loaches and crucian carp differed,indicating a significant influence(P＜0.05)of the EQ addition level on the metabolism time of EQDM in loaches,other than in crucian carp(P＞0.05).A data reference was provided for selection of fish feed to be exported to Korea and for withdrawal period,supporting to addressing relevant technical trade barriers set up by Korea.关键词
