Abstract
Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)has been spreading around the world,posing a severe threat to both human and animal health.As animal-derived microorganisms serve as critical reservoirs of antimicrobial resistance genes(ARGs),corresponding monitoring would be of great significance to curb the transmission of AMR from animals to humans or even the environment.With the development of high-throughput sequencing technology,metagenomic sequencing has been widely used in the study of AMR in animal-derived microorganisms.In the paper,the advantages and limitations of metagenomics based on next-and third-generation sequencing in AMR researches were reviewed and analyzed,the direction of AMR researches based on metagenomic sequencing was summarized,the distribution characteristics and transmission mechanisms of ARGs in livestock,aquatic animals and companion animals were integrated,and the challenges and application prospects of the technique were discussed,aiming to theoretically support targeted control of AMR.关键词
