6种兔球虫混合感染动物模型的建立及病理学观察
Development of a Mixed Infection Model of Six Eimeria Species in Rabbits and Pathological Observations

Abstract
To explore the pathogenicity of various Eimeria species in rabbits,the mixed infection model was developed by infecting 32-day-old coccidia-free rabbits with sporulated oocysts of six Eimeria species isolated from the cecal contents of a diarrheal rabbit.Compared with the negative control group,the rabbits inoculated with 5.0×104 or 1.0×105 sporulated oocysts showed significant decrease of body weight gain and feed intake,diarrhea and death.There were a large number of various endogenous developmental stages of coccidia observed in jejunums,ileums and colons,and obvious lesions including bleeding,intestinal mucosa thickening and necrosis.The results of intestinal lesions were basically consistent with the inoculated species of coccidia.These findings indicated that the mixed infection with six Eimeria species including E.media and E.flavescens were severely pathogenic to rabbits.The mixed infection model established in this study verified the pathogenicity of mixed infection of the six Eimeria species to rabbits in clinical practice and also provided a more convenient method for screening effective anti-coccidia drugs.关键词
