三流中间包控流装置优化模拟研究
Simulation based optimization study of flow control device in a three-strand tundish

Abstract
Optimization research was conducted on the flow control device of a three-strand tundish in a steel plant.First,based on the structural characteristics of the three-strand tundish,five design schemes of tundish flow control devices were developed.Numerical simulation methods were employed to comparatively analyze the flow field,temperature field,and RTD curves(Residence Time Distribution curves)under different schemes.Subsequently,a 1∶2 scale hydraulic simulation experiment was carried out to verify the optimized scheme.The results indicate that the L-shaped flow control scheme was identified as the optimal solution for this tundish,with the dead zone volume decreased from 8.29%to 7.31%,and the temperature standard deviation across strands was reduced from 1.45 K to 0.58 K.The designed baffle wall effectively prevents molten steel from flowing directly through the proximal nozzle.The molten steel forms an upward-inclined jet through the diversion holes,with one portion flowing towards the distal nozzle in a parabolic trajectory and another portion impacting the wall surface to create circulatory flow.The optimized flow control device enhances the flow dynamics of molten steel,effectively prolonging the residence time of molten steel and improving consistency among different strands.关键词
