中国农业农村现代化水平的地区差异及其收敛趋势分析
An Empirical Analysis of Regional Differences and Convergence Trends in China's Agricultural and Rural Modernization

Abstract
Accelerating agricultural and rural modernization is an important goal in China's high-quality development.To grasp the development level in various dimensions of agricultural and rural modernization,and analyze the regional differences and their spatial convergence characteristics,this study constructs an evaluation index system encompassing food security foundations,green and low-carbon production and living,and Party-building leadership.The entropy method is used to measure the level of agricultural and rural modernization in various provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)from 2011 to 2022;the horizontal convergence model is employed to explore the national and regional convergence trend of agricultural and rural modernization level;and the spatial convergence model is adopted to test the spatial convergence trend.The results show that from 2011 to 2022,the national and provincial agricultural and rural modernization indices have showed an increasing trend,with most provinces showing significant growth.The food security index of each province has generally increased,with grain-producing provinces leading in food security advancement.Conditional β-convergence exists among provinces,indicating development levels correlate with regional conditions.Absolute β-convergence and spatial convergence occur only in eastern regions,driven by economic development,urbanization,and industrial upgrading.Fiscal agricultural support promotes inter-provincial convergence.Central and western regions demonstrate notable progress but lag behind the east in overall modernization levels.To achieve local convergence,central and western provinces should prioritize regionally tailored development according to local economic and geographical characteristics.关键词
