Clinical Efficacy of CalliSpheres Drug-Eluting Beads Bronchial Artery Chemoembolization Treatment of Lung Cancer Complicated with Hemoptysis

Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of CalliSpheres drug-eluting beads bronchial artery chemoembolization(DEB-BACE)versus conventional bronchial artery chemoembolization(cBACE)in patients with lung cancer complicated with hemoptysis.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 47 patients with lung cancer and hemoptysis treated at Yichang Central People's Hospital from January 2018 to October 2023.Based on the treatment modality,patients were divided into observation group receiving DEB-BACE(n=25)and control group receiving cBACE(n=22).Baseline characteristics such as gender,age,and hemoptysis volume within 24 hours prior to the procedure were compared.Tumor response and the incidence of adverse events were evaluated in both groups.Results:There were no significant differences in technical and clinical success rates between DEB-BACE and cBACE(both P＞0.05).The objective response rate(ORR)was significantly higher in the DEB-BACE group than in the cBACE group(56.00％vs 27.27％,P＜0.05).Except for nausea and vomiting,there were no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups.Conclusion:DEB-BACE can improve clinical outcomes and quality of life in patients with lung cancer complicated by hemoptysis.关键词
