Preliminary Assessment of Economic and Social Developments During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period

Abstract
The 14th Five-Year Plan is the first five-year plan for China's comprehensive construction of a socialist modernization after she has achieved the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society.An initial assessment of economic and social development during the"14th Five-Year"period(2020-2024)highlights seven key aspects:significant enhancement of economic strength,continuous optimization of the economic structure,remarkable effects of the innovation-driven development strategy,continuous and notable improvement in people's livelihoods,significant progress in ecological and environmental protection,significant stable of security guarantee,and the country's comprehensive national strength entering the world's top ranks.This provides a solid development foundation,a higher level of development,better development quality,and stronger development capabilities for formulating the national 15th Five-Year Plan,as well as a promising start toward achieving the goal of basic socialist modernization by 2035.关键词
