Traceability and Definition of Community Concepts and Their Some Implications for China's Independent Knowledge Production
摘要
Abstract
On the basis of scholars'naming,narratives,perceptions,discourses and definitions of community,this paper redefines community in light of changing social conditions in contemporary times with implications for independent knowledge production.Firstly,starting from the introduction of the concept of community in the Yenching School,the authors summarize the process of the concept's emergence,translation and adoption in China,as well as its meaning in Chinese etymology and ancient texts.It then reviews the origins,spread and changes of the concept of community in the West,and analyzes the nature and forms of contemporary communities.The paper reviews the revival,controversy of the concept of community and its definition after the restoration of Chinese sociology,and analyzes the expansion of the meaning of contemporary community.The concept of community is constantly changing in history,and social change is the most important and direct influencing factor.Finally,the paper provides a definition that is in line with the actual situation of contemporary community.This definition holds important theoretical and practical significance for community organization,governance and construction in the process of the Chinese-style modernization and development.关键词
