摘要

Abstract

The Modular Multilevel Converter(MMC)used in medium voltage DC ships has a high switching frequency and large system computation based on traditional submodule voltage equalization control by using sorting algorithm.This paper proposes a control strategy to limit the fluctuation range of submodule capacitor voltage.The fluctuation range is first set and the submodules outside this range in the previous control cycle are calculated.Then,the switching of the submodule in the next cycle is determined based on the direction of the bridge arm current,voltage values of each submodule and switching state.The proposed submodule voltage equalization control strategy can effectively reduce the maximum fluctuation rate of the capacitor voltage and the maximum imbalance of the capacitor voltage while greatly reducing the switching frequency of the submodule.The control strategy of limiting the range of sub-module capacitor voltage fluctuation can reduce the switching frequency and system arithmetic of MMC,and it can make the sub-module voltage equalization performance index reach comprehensive optimization,so as to improve the stability and control performance of MMC in the medium-voltage DC ship power system.
