Abstract
Molten salt energy storage exhibits several advantages,including high energy density,excellent thermal stability,and prolonged heat retention duration.This paper summarizes the types of molten salt energy storage and its key technological processes.The basic structure of integrating molten salt storage into microgrids is proposed.The operational process of the molten salt storage system is analyzed in detail.A case study of an energy storage station located in northwestern China is presented,focusing on the composition and thermal properties of the molten salt,the capacity of thermal storage tanks,the electrical-to-thermal conversion apparatus,and the molten salt transportation system within the microgrid configuration.The findings offer technical guidance for the deployment of molten salt energy storage in microgrid applications.关键词
