The complex roles of lysyl oxidase family in the occurrence and development of tumors
摘要
Abstract
The lysyl oxidase(LOX)family comprises secreted copper-dependent amine oxidases that plays a crucial role in facilitating the covalent cross-linking of collagen and elastin,thereby promoting the formation of a cross-linking network within the extracellular matrix(ECM)and maintaining its normal structure and function.Studies have suggested that the proteins belonging to the LOX family are involved in shaping the tumor microenvironment prior to metastasis through various signaling pathways,exerting either promoting or inhibiting effects on the proliferation,invasion,and migration of tumor cells,which underscores their significant role in the onset and progression of various tumors.This makes the LOX family a potential target for tumor diagnosis and treatment.This article aims to review the expression and underlying mechanisms of the LOX family in tumors,enhancing our understanding of the complex roles of the LOX family in tumor progression and providing a reference for tumor monitoring and treatment.关键词
