Abstract
Currently,nuclear power plants under construction and in operation exhibit characteristics such as low utilization efficiency of uranium resources,substantial fuel consumption,and significant quantities of depleted uranium and spent fuel.These factors necessitate measures for ensuring long-term and stable uranium fuel supply,safe disposal of nuclear waste,and non-proliferation efforts.Hence,there is a growing imperative to expedite advancements in science and technology,and to introduce a new generation of nuclear power technology that offers comparative advantages in cleanliness,safety,and operational efficiency.Molten salt reactors possess the advantages of enhanced safety,superior economic performance,efficient power generation capabilities,and the capacity for high-temperature hydrogen production.These attributes constitute the"new quality productive forces"within the realm of nuclear energy,thereby facilitating the achievement of positive,safe,and orderly development in the nuclear power sector.Drawing upon the technical and safety characteristics of nuclear power,this paper conducts an analysis of the current research status of molten salt reactors both domestically and internationally.It elucidates that molten salt reactors technology aligns with the requirements for the safe development of nuclear power.Furthermore,the paper identifies the challenges that impede the progress of molten salt reactors and provides recommendations for their development.The smooth development and operation of molten salt reactors will significantly improve the safety level of nuclear power and promote the construction of a diversified clean energy supply system in China.关键词
