Abstract
Due to the large-scale hunting by humans,the number of spotted seals has decreased sharply.China has established the Dalian Spotted Seal National Nature Reserve in Liaodong Bay,Bohai Sea.Spotted seals are currently included in the list of key protected wild animals in China and are recognized as national first-class protected animals.In this study,hair,feces,and blood samples of artificially raised spotted seals were collected to analyze the differences in heavy metal accumulation with time and water samples.The results showed that the heavy metal content of spotted seals in hair>feces>blood.The As content in the hair of spotted seals in the second year was significantly higher than that in the previous year(P<0.05).At the same time,the Cd,V,Hg,Pb,Cr,As,Mn,and Al contents in the hair were extremely significantly higher than those in the water samples(P<0.01 or P<0.001).The results of this study show that it is urgent to protect the healthy growth of wild spotted seals.Although artificially raised spotted seals have certain control and prevention against pollution,heavy metal pollution still needs to be addressed from the source.关键词
