珊瑚砂剪胀特性与三轴体积变形试验研究
Experimental study on the dilatancy characteristics and triaxial volumetric deformation of coral sand

Abstract
The difference of experiential values of dilatancy Angle at high internal friction Angle has a higher deviation to the numerical results of bearing capacity.Because of its unique particle shape and pore structure,coral sand exhibits high internal friction Angle and remarkable dilatancy during shearing,but the reasonable range of dilatancy Angle and its changing law are not clear.Therefore,a series of triaxial consolidation drainage shear tests were carried out on coral sand to explore the effects of relative density and effective confining pres-sure on the volume strain and dilatancy characteristics of coral sand.The results show that with the increase of axial strain,the volume strain of coral sand gradually changes from shear shrinkage to dilatancy.When the ef-fective confining pressure is less than 200 kPa,the loose coral sand with relative density ranging from 30%to 50%also shows strong dilatancy,and the dilatancy of coral sand increases significantly with the relative density increasing to between 70%and 90%.When the effective confining pressure reaches 400 kPa,the dilatancy can be inhibited significantly.The whole shear test process of loose coral sand is shear shrinkage,and the dilatancy of dense coral sand is still obvious at the end of the test.Based on the experimental results,it is suggested that the shear dilatancy Angle of coral sand should be reasonably determined in the range of 10° to 28° according to the effective confining pressure and relative density.关键词
