Abstract

Objective:To explore the application effect of Teach-back health education model in robot-assisted spinal fracture surgery.Methods:100 patients with spinal fractures who underwent robot-assisted surgery at Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital,Capital Medical University from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into the control group(n=50,receiving traditional health education)and the observation group(n=50,receiving traditional health education combined with Teach-back health education model)using a random number table.Functional exercise compliance,General Self-efficacy Scale(GSES)scores,Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)scores,Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)scores,Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores,Functional Independence Measure(FIM)scores,and complication rates were compared between the two groups.Result:Compared with that before intervention,both groups of patients showed increased functional exercise compliance and GSES scores after intervention,and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The SAS,SDS,and VAS scores of the two groups of patients decreased after intervention,and the observation group had lower scores(P<0.05).Both groups of patients showed increased FIM scores after intervention,and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had a significantly lower overall complication rate than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Application of the Teach-back health education model in robot assisted spinal fracture surgery can improve patients'compliance with functional exercise and self-efficacy,alleviate their negative emotions and pain symptoms,enhance overall rehabilitation outcomes,and reduce postoperative complications.
