Abstract

Objective To explore the application value of the MOOC combined with virtual simulation experiment platform in the hands-on course of ultrasound diagnostics.Methods A total of 69 imaging undergraduates from the 2018-2020 grades of the First Clinical Medical College of Lanzhou University were selected and randomly divided in-to a study group(35 students)and a control group(34 stu-dents).The control group adopted the traditional teaching mode of"PPT theoretical review+teacher demonstration+student practical operation",the teacher gave the scores based on attendance,classroom performance,and ultra-sound report completion.The study group implemented a hybrid teaching mode of"MOOC and virtual simulation platform+teacher demonstration+student practical opera-tion",and evaluated the team collaboration ability,practical and clinical thinking ability,etc.through teacher evalua-tion,self-evaluation and peer evaluation of students.After the teaching sessions,online questionnaires were used to compare students'recognition and satisfaction with their re-spective evaluation systems.Results The hands-on course scores of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group.Among the students,29 in the study group and 19 in the control group considered the course system reasonably designed,while 33 in the study group and 21 in the control group were satisfied with the teaching mode.The study group showed significantly high-er recognition and satisfaction with the rationality of the course system compared to the control group.Conclusion Applying the MOOC combined with virtual simulation ex-periment platform teaching mode to ultrasound diagnostics hands-on courses can improve teaching quality,enhance students'satisfaction with teaching,and motivate students'learning enthusiasm.
