Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the safety and feasibility of the domestically produced EDGE multi-port surgical robot(MP 100)in lobectomy.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 10 patients(observation group)who underwent robot-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy using the EDGE multi-port surgical robot at the Department of Thoracic Surgery,Tianjin Chest Hospital affiliated to Tianjin University from January 10 to April 15,2024.Intraoperative and postoperative indicators,as well as 6-month postoperative follow-up results,were analyzed.A propensity-matched analysis was performed with 13 patients who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy(control group)during the same period,comparing perioperative outcomes between the two groups.Results:All 10 patients in the observation group successfully underwent lobectomy and systematic lymph node dissection without conversion to open surgery.The number of dissected lymph nodes was(14.20±1.62),postoperative hospital stay was 4.50(4.00,5.00)d,operative time was(133.60±30.74)min,intraoperative blood loss was(47.50±13.79)mL,total postoperative drainage volume was(525.00±143.10)mL,postoperative drainage tube duration was 2.50(2.00,3.00)d,and incision healing was satisfactory.The 24-hour postoperative VAS score was 3.00(3.00,4.00),with no severe postoperative complications.6-month follow-up showed good recovery in all patients,with no deaths,reoperations,or unplanned readmissions.Compared to the control group,the observation group had significantly less intraoperative blood loss(P=0.016)and more thorough lymph node dissection(P<0.001).Conclusion:The domestically produced EDGE multi-port surgical robot-assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy is safe and feasible.
