摘要

Abstract

To improve the feed parameters of gear skiving,the influence of feed strategy on chip thickness and cutting force was studied based on the features of undeformed chip geometry.A cutting force calculation method was proposed by solving the undeformed chip geometry through establishing an envelope model for three radial feed strategies,namely equal spacing,isometric decline,and inverse proportional decline,and the geometric characteristics of undeformed chips under different radial feed strategies were analyzed.By developing a contact region identification method between the sweep curves of cutting edge and undeformed chip,the relationship between the undeformed chip geometry and the load distribution on the cutting edge was obtained,and the influence of three radial feed strategies on chip thickness and cutting force was discussed.Results show that when planning process parameters for feed strategy in gear skiving,both maximum chip thickness and cutting force should be considered comprehensively.For rough machining's feed depth allocation,a gradually decreasing feed strategy should be adopted,however,if it is allowed by maximum chip thickness requirements,preference can be given to inverse proportional decline feed strategy.
