Effects of different pollination varieties(lines)on the main characteristics of the fruit of Pingou hybrid hazelnut Dawei

Abstract
Hazelnuts are monoecious plants with different flowers.In production,multiple varieties with similar flowering periods are often selected for mixed planting to improve fruit setting rate.This experiment used Pingou hybrid hazelnuts Yuzhui,Liaozhen NO.3,Liaozhen NO.4 and 84-545 as pollination varieties(line)to study the effects of different varieties(line)on the main characteristics of Dawei fruit.The results showed that different pollination varieties(line)had a significant impact on the fruiting traits,fruit bud quality,fresh fruit quality,nut transverse diameter,longitudinal diameter,lateral diameter,average fruit diameter,shell thickness,and kernel yield of Dawei fruit,but had no significant effect on the length of fruit buds and nut kernel weight;Among them,Dawei,which uses 84-545 as the pollination line,has the highest average number of fruits per sequence and the best comprehensive fruit traits.Based on comprehensive analysis,84-545 is chosen as the main pollination line for Dawei,while Liaozhen NO.3,Liaozhen NO.4 and Yuzhui are selected as supplementary pollination species.关键词
