Abstract
During the 2025 National Two Sessions,the topic of urban renewal emerged as a prominent subject of policy discourse.This paper utilizes the implementation of the recently revised Cultural Relics Protection Law of the People's Republic of China(2024 revision)as a foundation to examine the synergistic relationship between legislative protection and urban renewal.It posits that urban renewal shall extend beyond mere physical transformation and industrial enhancement.It shall also embrace a strategy of"cultural inheritance leading to innovation",thereby redefining the cognition of heritage value.By analyzing the course Introduction to 20th Century Architectural Heritage,which is collaboratively offered by the Architectural Heritage Committee of the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics and Northern China University of Technology,this paper analyzes the educational significance of promoting 20th-century architectural heritage in higher education.The course transcends traditional ancient architecture teaching methodologies by systematically exploring the types,characteristics,technological advancements,management principles,and the interplay between technology and the humanities in relation to 20th-century architectural heritage.It establishes a cognitive framework of"interpretation-understanding-appreciation-protection",and,based on this theoretical construct,suggests innovative approaches and technical pathways for the"activation and utilization"of heritage,thereby providing practical insights for the re-evaluation of heritage value.关键词
