Abstract
Authenticity serves as the fundamental theory and principle underlying the protection of architectural heritage,significantly influencing architectural development on a global scale.The architectural heritage of China is of immense value and warrants robust protection.However,there are numerous instances of breaches of the authenticity principle,resulting in the degradation of architectural heritage during maintenance and restoration efforts,which is a matter of concern.Furthermore,the disparities in architectural structures,forms,and traditional cultures between Eastern and Western contexts have led to theoretical debates and practical challenges in the application of authenticity protection theories and principles.Consequently,it is imperative to adhere to the spirit of international protection theories,draw upon and incorporate advanced Western methodologies in architectural heritage management and protection,and investigate the formulation of protection theories,mechanisms,and policies that are specifically tailored to Chinese architectural heritage.These endeavors represent critical areas of focus.关键词
