Abstract
The main entrance lobby serves as a crucial activity and hub space within elderly care facilities and acts as a physical barrier against extreme climatic conditions.Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, this paper identifies existing issues in the main entrance lobbies of elderly care facilities.Considering the unique physiological conditions, behavioral patterns, and emotional characteristics of elderly users in cold regions, and addressing the distinct climatic features, targeted optimization strategies are proposed for spatial layout, landscape arrangement, facility configuration, and atmosphere creation. These strategies aim to reduce the negative impacts of climate and meet the varied needs of elderly residents. The rational application of these strategies can guide the design of main entrance lobbies in elderly care facilities in cold regions, creating a warm, comfortable, and safe environment for the elderly.关键词
