基于轴线分析的中西设计文化比较研究
A Comparative Study of Chinese and Western Design Cultures Based on Axis Analysis
摘要
Abstract
It is a common phenomenon in both China and the West that traditional architectural spaces were organized through axis,the making of which was related to the pursuit for stable identities through rituals.However,there were significant differences with respect to axis treatments between China and the West.In the West,"long and deep"axis was developed based on"entity"architecture,which was"pieced together"as architectural groups where the main building was placed at the"end"of the axis and the outdoor space was"open"and"static".On the contrary,in China"short and shallow"axis was developed based on"unit"architecture,which was to be"combined"into architectural groups where the main building was placed"within"the axis and the outdoor space was"enclosed"and"dynamic".This paper attempts to investigate the fundamental reasons for these differences in order to further the understanding of the architectural phenomenon both in China and the West and provide some references for contemporary architectural design and preservation of traditional architecture.关键词
