Genetic Diversity and Mating System Analysis of Taxus wallichiana var.mairei Natural Populations in Baishanzu National Park

Abstract
[Objective]This study aims to address the insufficient research on the genetic diversity of Taxus wallichiana var.mairei in the Baishanzu region,where the outcrossing level of parent plants remains un-clear.By examining the genetic diversity and mating system,the study seeks to elucidate the genetic mat-ing patterns and diversity differences among various natural populations in Baishanzu.These finds will provide foundational data for further research and scientific conservation efforts.[Methods]A total of 115 individuals from five natural populations in Baishanzu National Park were analyzed using 12 pairs of SSR polymorphic primers to assess genetic diversity,genetic structure,and mating system.[Results]All popu-lations maintained high genetic diversity,with ZJLQ2 showing the highest diversity.Inbreeding was indic-ated by positive Fis and F values.Genetic structure analysis revealed four subgroups without geographic consistency.High outcrossing rates(0.99)were observed,though parental relatedness suggested moder-ate inbreeding(Ctm-ts=0.07)and limited effective pollen donors(Nep=1.71).[Conclusion]T.wallichiana isa highly outcrossed species with rich genetic diversity across populations.Effective in situ conservation is re-commended to support natural regeneration and expansion,providing a theoretical basis for understand-ing endangerment and informing conservation efforts.关键词
