Design of cross-regional interconnection protocol for digital trunk based on Tiantong satellite

Abstract
To solve the problem of cross-regional interconnection for local PDT networks,a solution based on the Tiantong-1 satellite system is proposed.This solution converts PDT and Tiantong trunk sig-naling into SIP signaling and exchanges it through a converged gateway.Thus the cross-regional communi-cation for PDT terminals is conducted without modifications to the user terminals.This reduces the need for terminal equipment modifications and facilitates rapid deployment.Two methods for cross-regional cluster interconnection are proposed:(1)the signaling direct mapping method:achieving cross-regional interconnection by directly converting signaling fields and forwarding them across networks via the gate-way;(2)the gateway fast feedback method:reducing cross-regional interconnection latency by preemp-tively responding to access requests and caching access data through the converged gateway.Theoretical analysis and simulations demonstrate that the gateway fast feedback method offers superior connection performance and call experience compared to the signaling direct mapping method.关键词
