Extraction technology of Gardenia jasminoides essential oil by steam distillation

Abstract
Gardenia jasminoides essential oil is a natural product with aromatic and medicinal properties.The G.jasminoides essential oil was extracted by steam distillation method.Using the extraction amount of G.jasminoides essential oil as an index,the effects of raw materials wetting,distillation temperature,extraction time and filling thickness on the extraction amount of essential oil were investigated through single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiments,and the optimal process for extracting G.jasminoides essential oil by steam distillation was determined.The results indicated that the maximum extraction amount of G.jasminoides essential oil,with an average extraction amount of 95.04±0.22 mg·kg-1,was achieved when the raw material was pre-wetted,the distillation temperature was set at 105℃,the extraction time was 240 minutes,and the filling thickness was 4 kg(75.49 mm).This provides a basis for the industrial production of G.jasminoides essential oil.关键词
