摘要

Abstract

The large-scale wave flume,serving as a pivotal facility in coastal and ocean engineering research,offers distinct advantages in conducting approximate prototype physical model experiments under precisely controlled conditions,effectively mitigating scale effects.Since the establishment of the large-scale wave flume in Tianjin Research Institute for Water Transport Engineering(TIWTE)in 2014,a series of large-scale experimental studies have been conducted focusing on key research areas such as wave-structure interactions,wave-current-sediment transport mechanisms and erosion protection,and wave-float dynamic responses,with subsequent applications to practical engineering projects.In this paper,the experimental studies and research achievements of the Chinese large-scale wave flume over the past decade were comprehensively reviewed,aiming to highlight its functionalities and contributions.Future research priorities were proposed,including coastal structures and sediment transport,disaster mitigation in coastal engineering,maritime transportation,and energy-related studies,to further leverage the supportive role of this major scientific infrastructure in foundational research.
