Typhoon simulation in South China Sea based on Pangu-Weather model

Abstract
The numerical simulation of typhoon wave is very important for the prediction and warning technology of typhoon waves.The wind field generated by the Pangu-Weather model was used as the background wind field,and a new synthetic wind field was constructed in combination with the Holland wind field model.The third-generation offshore wave model SWAN was used to simulate Typhoon Dujuan and Typhoon MANGKHUT respectively.Comparing the wind simulation results of the Holland wind field,the Pangu-Weather wind field and the combined wind field with the measured data,the results show that in the South China Sea region,the Pangu-Weather model was better than the Holland wind field model for the simulation far away from the typhoon center,but the typhoon center intensity was under estimated,the Holland wind field model was better to simulate the peak.The synthetic wind field had the advantages of both,and better depicted the process of the typhoon wind field.The simulation of typhoon wind waves was more consistent with the actual situation.关键词
