Research progress on PTX3 regulation of glioma temozolomide resistance

Abstract
Glioblastoma(GBM)is one of the most aggressive and lethal malignancies within the central nervous system,with therapeutic efficacy often limited by the development of resistance.Temozolomide(TMZ)is the cornerstone chemotherapeutic agent in the standard treatment regimen for GBM.However,the emergence of TMZ resistance significantly impacts patient survival outcomes.In recent years,Pentraxin 3(PTX3),a key regulatory factor within the tumor microenvironment(TME),has garnered widespread attention for its role in the development of resistance in GBM.PTX3 not only promotes tumor survival and invasion by modulating immune cell polarization,redox balance,and the inhibition of autophagy within the TME,but also enhance the resistance of tumor cells to TMZ through interactions with multiple cellular signaling pathways.This review discusses the specific role of PTX3 in the mechanisms of GBM resistance and explores its potential as a therapeutic target,aiming to provide new strategies and insights for overcoming GBM resistance.关键词
