Analysis of Boundary Layer Wind Characteristics of Typhoon Muifa Based on Wind Profile Radars in Shanghai

Abstract
This study analyzes the boundary layer wind field before and after the landfall of Typhoon Muifa in 2022,utilizing real-time data from four wind profile radars in Shanghai.The analysis revealed that the Xiaoyangshan radar station,located on the right side of the typhoon's trajectory,exhibited clockwise wind direction rotation over time.In contrast,the Jinshan,Pudong,and Jiading stations,located on the left side of the typhoon's movement path,exhibited counterclockwise wind direction rotation.The windspeed before the passage of the typhoon center was significantly higher than that measured after the passage.The near-ground wind speed in the urban center was lower than that in the suburbs due to the influence of underlying buildings.However,the near-ground wind speed on islands was higher than that in the suburbs.The wind speed above the urban canopy remained relatively constant across the central urban,suburbs,and islands.关键词
