摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of using extreme lateral approach under microscope and microchannel technology for surgical treatment of extradiscal herniation.Methods The clinical data of 3 cases of extreme lateral disc herniation who were surgically treated with the extreme lateral approach microscope microchannel technology in Hejiang City People's Hospital from August 2021 to September 2024 were retrospectively analyzed and the relevant literature were reviewed.Results All 3 cases were located at the L4/5 segment.During the operation,it was confirmed that they were extremely lateral disc herniation.After successful discectomy,the nerve decompression effect was definite,there was no cerebrospinal fluid leakage,and no incision or central nervous system infection occurred.The symptoms of the three cases disappeared completely during the 3-12 months of follow-up after surgery.No spinal instability was found in the postoperative X-ray examination.Conclusions The extreme lateral approach with microchannel technology is used to treat extreme lateral disc herniation.The operation time is short,the trauma is small,the effect is definite with a low recurrence rate,and the impact on spinal stability is small.
