Research Progress of Aqueous Zinc Ion Batteries

摘要

Abstract

Recently,aqueous zinc ion batteries have been considered as one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage devices due to their high safety,low cost and environmental friendliness.However,aqueous zinc ion batteries face severe challenges in practical applications,such as the growth of zinc dendrites,side reactions,slow kinetics,and dissolution of active substances,which restrict their sustainable development.This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced by aqueous zinc ion batteries and current research progress,summarizes the corresponding solutions from the aspects of cathodes,anodes,electrolyte,and separator,and analyzes the relevant mechanisms for aqueous zinc ion batteries.Finally,the future development trends and pros-pects of aqueous zinc ion batteries are outlooked,providing the reference,ideas,and guidance for the research and development of high-performance aqueous zinc ion batteries.
