Spiritual Myth and Cultural Consciousness in Dual Growth
摘要
Abstract
The island narrative of Lin Sen,a Hainan native writer,implies the dual growth stories of both a small-town youth and Hainan itself.From the crisis in the darkest moment,to the spiritual myth in the adolscent growth,to the cultural consciousness in the spirit of returning home;from the rootless endurance of external impacts,to the con-cern about civilization caused by modern ruins,and then to the reconstruction of the depth and scope of the relationship between man and the sea;Lin Sen's novels construct a modern allegory of the relationship between man and the island in the transformation of urban and rural civilization.The interpretation of the complex meaning of dual"growth"will not only be helpful to deeply understand the internal demand and value of Lin Sen's island narrative,but also be helpful to understand the significance of Hainan literature to the cultural construction of the new era under the background of free trade port construction.关键词
