摘要

Abstract

The cone penetration test(CPT)and standard penetration test(SPT)are widely used in site investigations.The SPT test was developed early with rich engineering experience,while the interpretation of CPT data has a rich theoretical background.Conducting correlation analyses between SPT and CPT allows for the integration of SPT's rich engineering experience and CPT's mature interpretation system,including liquefaction assessment of survey sites.Given the differing sedimentary histories and geological characteristics on the two sides of the lower Yangtze River,the applicable SPT-CPT correlation models may vary.Based on the Haimen Taicang Cross-River Tunnel Project,this study employs statistical and regression methods to investigate the correlation between SPT and CPT on both sides of the river.A SPT-CPT correlation model based on soil type index(Ic)is proposed,offering higher reliability by accounting for soil type through Ic and not requiring additional consideration of particle size distribution.The model is further applied to evaluate the liquefaction potential of sandy soils in the study area,further verifying the reliability of the model.
