Abstract

To solidly promote the ecological environment management and protection of Baiyangdian Lake,the sediment of historically enclosed fish ponds in three areas within Baiyangdian Lake was taken as the research object.The planar and vertical distribution characteristics of heavy metals in different mud layers were analyzed,and the potential ecological risks of the sediment in each area were evaluated.The results show that the contents of heavy metals such as Hg,As,Ni,Zn are higher than the soil background values of Baoding City,Hebei Province,while the contents of Pb,Cu,Cr are lower than the background values of Baoding City,and Cd is basically on par with the background values.The differences in heavy metal content at different depths of the sediment in the three areas are not significant,and the content of heavy metals in the sediment is not significantly related to the depth of the sediment.The ecological risk level of heavy metals in the fish pond sediment in the study area is mainly moderate,and the potential risk coefficients are in the order of:Hg>Cd>As>Ni>Cu>Pb>Cr>Zn.As Baiyangdian Lake is an important ecological wetland in the Xiong'an New Area,its ecological environment protection is particularly important.For historically polluted fish ponds,precise management should be carried out according to the pollution distribution characteristics of different fish pond sediments,implementing a"one pond,one policy"approach.
