Spatiotemporal Evolution and Influencing Factors of Tourism Development Efficiency in Three Gorges Reservoir Area

Abstract
Clarifying the spatiotemporal characteristics of tourism development efficiency(TDE)is crucial for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement,and achieving high-quality development in tourism.This paper decomposes tourism development efficiency into tourism-economic and economic-welfare efficiency.Then,it applies the network super-efficiency EBM model,trend surface analysis,and GeoDetector model to explore the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of tourism development efficiency in Three Gorges Reservoir Area from 2010 to 2019.The findings are:①TDE was generally at a medium-high level,with increasing significantly before gradually declining.②Spatial distribution is uneven,with higher TDE in the west and lower in the east.The spatial variation trend shows a"high in the south and low in the north,high in the west and low in the east"pattern,with the southern and western regions being more efficient.③Tourism-economic efficiency is the primary factor limiting TDE improvement.Hubei and Chongqing's core ecological areas have the lowest tourism-economic and economic-welfare efficiency,respectively.④Government intervention and economic development level significantly impact TDE,while the influence of tourism resource endowment and transport accessibility is growing.Technological development level and capital motivation have minimal effects.The interaction between factors has a greater impact than individual factor.Based on these analyses,relative recommendations are proposed for four different relationship types:HH,HL,LH,and LL.关键词
