Abstract

In order to implement the rural revitalization strategy and improve environmental pollution in rural areas,this study developed an intelligent transformation integrating IoT with conventional sewage monitoring systems to address issues such as delayed detection,operational irregularities,and unstable treatment effectiveness in rural sewage treatment.Through this study,the intelligent transformation combining the internet of things with traditional sewage treatment technologies was explored.The research results indicated that the upgraded system enables real-time monitoring throughout the treatment process,promptly identifies operational issues,proposes corrective measures,and ensures facility stability.After transformation the average effluent CODCr was reduced from 91 mg/L to 48 mg/L(a 47.25%reduction),the NH3-N was reduced from 26 mg/L to 10mg/L(a 61.5%reduction),the Oils was reduced from 5.1 mg/L to 3.8 mg/L(a 25.49%reduction).The effluent quality com-plies with the Class Ⅱ standards in Table 1 of the Treatment and Discharge Standards for Rural Domestic Sewage(DB44/2208-2019)of Guangdong Province,with only an incremental cost of CNY 0.12 per ton.the intelligent transformation significantly en-hances pollutant removal efficiency and contributes significantly to the Beautiful China Initiative.
