Abstract

Applicable span analysis of the steel-bars truss slab with concrete bottom slab(HJ steel-bars truss slab)helps to ensure the safe use of the slab during construction.Three methods,including finite element analysis,conversion section formula,and load test,are used in this paper to determine the optimal applicable span of HJ steel-bars truss slab types with and without support in the middle of span through controlling the deflection of HJ steel-bars truss slab,cracking of the prefabricated concrete bottom slab,and stress of the steel-bars truss members.The results show that the decisive factor for the applicable span size of HJ steel-bars truss slab during construction is that the prefabricated concrete bottom slab does not crack.When determining applicable span of HJ steel-bars truss slab types,the simplified formula under the control of tensile stress in the concrete bottom slab can be used for calculation according to the thickness of the slab and the value of the load.When the thickness of the composite slab is between 100 mm and 210 mm,the applicable spans of HJ steel-bars truss slab without support are between 1.8 m and 3.6 m,and the applicable spans when one support is set in the middle of the span are between 4.1 m and 7.2 m.
