Abstract

Cu-Zr-ZrB2 composites were prepared by ultrasonic-assisted in-situ reaction.The effects of different ultrasonic treatment times on microstructure and properties of Cu-Zr-ZrB2composites were analyzed.The results showed that ultrasonic treatment for 5 min has the greatest effect on the distribution of the reinforcement phase,which can effectively hinder the aggregation of reinforcement parti-cles and improve the distribution of the reinforcement phase.Compared with ultrasonic treatment for 1 min,the tensile strength of as-cast samples increased from 133 MPa to 173 MPa after ultrasonic treatment for 5 min,reaching an increase of 30%,and electrical con-ductivity only slightly decreased.After rolling treatment and aging treatment,the mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of as-cast structure were significantly improved,and the strengthening of ultrasonic treatment partly remained.Ultrasonic treatment can ef-fectively diminish casting defects,and improve the processability of as-cast samples.
