Abstract

Due to the limitations of the traditional radio platforms,such as lack of flexibility,non-customizability and poor interference resistance,a radio frequency transceiver system based on the main control chip ZYNQ-7000 series and RF chip AD9361 is designed and validated.In this system,a zero-IF(intermediate frequency)architecture,supporting an operating frequency range of 70 MHz to 6 GHz and a channel bandwidth range of 200 kHz to 56 MHz,is employed.This system is suitable for various application scenarios.In the design unit,the section of programmable logic(PL)on the FPGA is responsible for generating the baseband signal and converting the data protocol AD9361.In the section of bus,AXI_Stream is utilized to facilitate bulk data storage from the PL side into the DDR(double data rate)of the PS(processing system)side.In the verification unit,a spectrum analyzer was used to examine the frequency of the RF output signal,and the results confirmed its compliance with the principle of frequency mixing.Additionally,by measuring the data transfer rate from the PL side to the PS side,an adaptive DMA transfer rate adjustment mechanism was proposed.This mechanism dynamically adjusts the transfer rate based on the volume of the data transferred in a single operation.The results indicate that the data transfer rate is directly proportional to the data transmission volume,maintaining a rate of approximately 312.5 Mb/s,which meets the system performance requirements.
